Toronto Litblogger Meet-up Details

June 3, 2007 by sassymonkey

Date: Saturday, June 9

Time: 2pm

Location: Solferino, 38 Wellington Street East. Solferino has coffee, tea and even better, gelato for sale.

I didn’t want to go with an outdoor location because the weather gods hate me and we’d be guaranteed to be rained out. If we decide we want to be outside Solferino is right across from a small park. And since I’m evil, the park is right across from Nicholas Hoare books in case, you know, we want to invade a bookstore en masse.

Please leave a comment if you plan to attend. :)

No problems - close to my home easy to get to. And despite living here for 6 years, I have never been to Nick Hoares shop.

I plan to be there. If I can possibly get my son parked with his dad for a while, I will - otherwise he will come with me.

Sounds good! I’m there. Thanks for making the effort to change the date – very much appreciated.

And Historia – you’ve never been to Nick Hoares??? You must go. You will be amazed, I’m sure.

Historia - You must go to Nicholas Hoare. It is one of the most visually appealing bookstores ever. It’s only downfall is that they never seem to have sales (or if they do they keep them super secret). And they carry fantastic books. I love their history section (thankfully there is one in Montreal as well - woohoo!). They have a good kids section too. It’s not large but it’s filled with *good* books.

Patricia - no problem with moving the date. It gives me an excuse to avoid packing for another weekend. ;)

I’ll be there! I appreciate the proximity of the meeting spot to a good bookstore…

I will absolutely be there — might be a bit grubby from the Book Expo set up, hope you all won’t mind. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person!

Excellent! I’ll be there. I love Nicholas Hoare! (the bookstore, not the man - although he is a very nice man nevertheless… ;) I am so looking forward to meeting everyone.
