Apartment hunting

So…on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is it that as we are apartment hunting right after the “what does it include?” and “do they allow cats?” my next question to the boy is “where’s the library?”
Ok, sometimes I throw in a question about public transit.
Edit: And the answer is…1.7 kilometers or 1 mile! Yes! We have a place to live. Signing the lease tomorrow. *Happy Dance*

Oh that question makes sense: if there isn’t a library in the area, you’re going to buy all the books you want to read instead, and that could double (triple?) the price of the rent.
Well, that’s a very necessary part of life. Must have the necessities!
That’s a very important question. I’m lucky - I work in one county and live in another. I can use the downtown library for Multnomah county easily from work (only a few blocks) and then after I catch the light rail train to the park and ride where my car is, I pass my branch of the Washington County library on the way home. I love it - I can take advantage of both library systems. Works great for holds (I can have a hold request active at both for the popular books) and for those times when a book is not available from one or the other.
OK. So must know: where? what library? (congrats!)
Bon travail!
Perfectly reasonable question: “Where’s the library?”
(Of course, one of the only reasons I stay where I am is that the bathroom doubles as a darkroom — no windows.)
