Pants on Fire

You know, I think I’ve moved past Meg Cabot’s YA books. Mostly. I’d still like to read the last few Princess Diary books (I stopped reading them around book 6 or so… ;) and I really liked the All American Girl books. And I’m working my way through the Mediator series. And I really want to [...]

Back in March 2006 I read Chicks With Sticks: It’s a Purl Thing and really enjoyed it. It was fluffy, fun YA. Knitting teens! Pretty yarn! Angst! Friendships!
It was fun. And so I recent picked up Chicks with Sticks: Knit Two Together and Chicks with Sticks: Knitwise.

How to Be Popular

Despite the haze I’ve been in for the last few days (my pills seem to make me vaguely sleepy) I managed to finish a book. I decided that light and fluffy was the way to go. Focusing was still a bit of an issue…
The main character, Steph, is kind of a mix of Mia [...]

Princess Present

I’ve had a very bad day.
The type of bad day that within 30 minutes of getting up you *seriously* consider going back to bed and hiding until the day is over (if you really want to know what type of bad day I had before 8am you can read it here but really, I’ve just [...]

This is the very first book I’ve gotten from the HarperCollins.ca First Look program. Thanks Danielle for telling me about the US version!
I’ve posted about enough Cabot books by now that you guys know [...]

Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend was an “impulse” grab at the library the other week. It was your standard chick-lit. Woman works in publishing, gets dumped/left behind by her long-term boyfriend, gets thrust out in the dating world when not ready. Thinks she’s fat. You know the usual.
It actually reminded me a lot [...]

It’s been a rough work week so I turned to fluff.
The Frog Prince by Jane Porterwas ok. Basically a 25 (or 26?) yo gets married and then divorced with in a year and moves to San Francisco to start a new life. It was ok, not great.
Return Engagement by Lynn Michaels was about two [...]

Have I ever mentioned I’m not good with mysteries? I think it’s the whole lack of patience thing.
Anyway, typical Meg Cabot - fun, fluffy, not exactly plausible. But still fun.
I suck at figuring out who the bad guy really is. I’m distracted by bright shiny objects. But I was right! But then I [...]

It helps when I post this on the right blog…lol! I did mention I was really tired this weekend right???My brain is so much happier now that it’s had a fluff infusion. Although apparently not working so well since I posted this on the wrong blog originally.
Chicks with Sticks is a Young Adult novel about…you [...]
